One of the most prolific players to ever don the red, white and blue of the Montreal Canadiens, Jean Beliveau would win an astounding 17 Stanley Cup Championships over the course of his lifetime in hockey, the most by anyone to date. Offered here, and originally hailing from the personal collection of “Le Gros Bill” is this collection of twenty (20) vintage and modern hockey books with fifteen (15) having been signed on the inside by Beliveau. Starting with the Beliveau autographed offerings, included are titles such as; “The Montreal Canadiens” (Mouton), “Saint John: A Sporting Tradition 1785-1985” (Flood), “Brian McFarlane’s Hockey Annual” (McFarlane), “Hockey Hall of Fame 1994 Yearbook”, “Hockey Hall of Fame” (Diamond/Romain), “Legends 2003 Induction Edition”, “The Bruins Book” (Vautour), “Jean Beliveau: Un Grand Canadien” (Bertrand), “Jacques Plante: Derriere Le Masque” (Plante), “Eagleson: The Fall of a Hockey Czar” (Houston/Shoalts), “Eagle: The Life And Times of R. Allen Eagleson” (Clayton), “Jean Beliveau: My Life In Hockey” (Goyens/Turowetz), “Montreal Canadiens: The Hockey Trivia Handbook” (Weeks), “Hockey’s 100” (Fischler) and “Les Canadiens Sont La!” (Richard/Fischler). Jean has signed the inside of all the books listed above with either a ballpoint pen or marker ink signature with all the autographs displaying without issue. Additionall signed books include a copy of “and…HOWE!” inscribed on the inside for Jean’s birthday and signed by both Gordie and Collen as well as a copy of “Sticks, Skates and Men: The Story of Amateur Hockey in the United States” that is signed on the inside by author S. Kip Farrington Jr. Other books present include unsigned copies of Sports Illustrated’s “The Hockey Book”, “Hockey’s Best Shots” and “Hockey: A People’s History”. All the books remain in good condition with most showing just light handling wear.
