Patrolling NHL bluelines throughout the 1950s/60s while earning six All-Star selections and four Stanley Cup championships, Bobby Hull once stated regarding the late Tim Horton, “There were defensemen you had to fear because they were vicious and would slam you into the boards from behind, for one, Eddie Shore. But you respected Tim Horton because he didn't need that type of intimidation. He used his tremendous strength and talent to keep you in check." Celebrating the iconic blueliner who passed away in 1974 and who’s name lives on through Canada’s most famous coffee and donut chain, we offer a stick used by the legendary defender during his time with the Leafs in the early-to-mid-1960s. A CCM Pattern Made, Custom Pro model, “Horton” and “7” are stamped to the upper shaft, with the original black tape to the blade and Horton’s preferred black and white spiral tape pattern to the handle. The striping accent is intact, held with clear tape, with just light use exhibited on the desirable lumber, with a few marks to the underside blade and shaft. An LOA from Classic Auctions will accompany.
