Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Fall 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/20/2022
The man behind one of the most iconic images in hockey history when he flew through the air after depositing the winning goal behind Blues goalie Glenn Hall to give the Boston Bruins their first Stanley Cup in 29 years, Bobby Orr would collect the Conn Smyth Trophy as playoff MVP. A pair of items celebrating that 1970 Cup win, the first is a yellow t-shirt with the front reading “1970 Stanley Cup Champs” with the Bruins logo also seen. In excellent condition with just a few small stains on the front and a seam separation on the right shoulder, a size medium tag is found on the interior collar. Additionally, a signed 8” x 10” of Orr accompanies the shirt and shows the superstar wearing the exact same garment while sipping champagne after winning the Cup. Orr has penned a crisp blue ink signature on the image that displays beautifully. Holograms from both JSA and Great North Road are affixed to the bottom corners of the photo.
