Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Fall 2022

Honouring our nation’s military, the Edmonton Oilers donned special Canadian Armed Forces camouflage jerseys during the warm-up of the Jan 29, 2020 contest at Rogers Place vs the Calgary Flames, and we offer the signed Oilers captain’s jersey worn by superstar Connor McDavid, accompanied by Oilers uniform socks worn during the match (a 4-3 overtime loss, McDavid had an assist in the game). Elite labeling is affixed to the collar along with a size “56” swatch, with NHL and Adidas crests to the front and reverse necklines respectively. Styled with a screened and rubberized Oilers team crest in solid white, “97” is sewn to the sleeves and verso in synthetic twill, with an “I Salute” velcro patch affixed to the left sleeve, designed to list a soldier the respective player is honouring. Worn during the warm-up, the jersey sports no game-wear, with McDavid signing the reverse “7” in black marker. Getty Image #1197491351 (Jan 29, 2020 warm-up) appears to the show the white visible at the top portion of the bottom loop of the captain’s “C”, with the placement of the “I Salute” patch appearing identical in relation to the sleeve number beneath it, but the image is not clear enough to call a definitive photo-match. The uniform socks are Adidas models size “L”, with “29/1 20” handwritten to each, with the pair showing use including marks. LOAs from the Oilers will accompany for each item.
