The 98th edition of Canadian football's Super Bowl, the 2010 Grey Cup played on November 28, 2010 at Edmonton's Commonwealth Stadium saw the Montreal Alouettes defeat the Saskatchewan Roughriders by a score of 21-18 in a rematch of the previous years contest to give the Als back-to-back championships, the first team to do so in thirteen (13) years. With the win secured through an interception by Alouettes defensive back, Billy Parker, at the Roughriders' 38-yard line with 56 seconds left in the game, offered here, is this 2010 Montreal Alouettes Grey Cup ring awarded to back-up quarterback, Adrian McPherson. A 10K gold and diamond offering that is a size 10 1/2 and has an approximate weight of 77 grams, the diamond-studded tableau features two Grey Cups laid end to end to symbolize the team’s back-to-back championships of the past two (2) seasons along with three (3) large diamonds to represent the three (3) Cups won under Robert Wetenhall’s ownership, and four (4) smaller ones for Cups won by previous Alouettes teams. Additionally, there are fourteen (14) diamonds in the team logo to signify the number of games they won during the 2010 season. With the right shank displaying "McPherson" and his number "5" as well as his headshot image, the left shank features a "Back to Back - 98th Grey Cup Champions - 2010" logo and word mark as well as the final game score and opponent centered at the bottom. With "This Is It" and "14-6" stamped to the inner band, the ring shows moderate wear from use, with a number of scratches to the outer band and shanks and a few small dings along edges. Representing the 7th Grey Cup championship for the Alouettes franchise, this large and heavy keepsake displays magnificently.
