Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction December 2022

May we help you find your seat at the old Maple Leaf Gardens? These dignified items were worn by an usher at the venerable arena, the longtime home of the Toronto Maple Leafs from 1932 to 1999. For those lucky enough to have a ticket to see a hockey game, sporting event, concert or show, there was an usher dressed with this type of jacket and hat. A size 50 label is affixed to the inside pocket, with a “168” patch that has been crossed out in red with a “332” handwritten underneath, sewn on the lining just below the inside rear collar of the jacket. A Maple Leaf Gardens patch sewn on the left breast below a sewn-on “Usher” patch. A small stain is found near the left cuff while the front is missing its buttons and stitching on both pockets has let go. Tears are seen on the interior lining at the hem and the collar and at both pockets, with the right one being worse than the left.
