This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/20/2022
A presented memento from the dawn of the Montreal Canadiens legendary late-1950s Stanley Cup dynasty, these splendid silver-plated three-sectional platters were presented to members of the Habs organization after winning their second straight title in April 1957, with this example originally presented to assistant trainer Lawrence Aubut. At approx 14” x 20” and sporting a weight of roughly 4 lbs, "National Hockey League - Stanley Cup Winners - 1956-1957 - Club De Hockey Canadien Inc. – Larry Aubut – Assistant Trainer" is engraved at the top of the raised central panel, with "Wm Rogers & Son, E.P. on copper (electro plated) 157" engraved on the reverse. Dent and damage free, the tray has been cleaned, with most of the surface patina rubbed away. Originating from Lawrence Aubut’s personal collection, an LOA signed by his son will accompany.
