Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Fall 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/20/2022
Selected first overall by the Edmonton Oilers at the 2011 NHL Entry Draft, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins has scored over 500 career points throughout his first 11 seasons including almost 200 goals, with time also spent representing Canada internationally. From his second and third NHL seasons, we have a signed stick used in 2012-13, accompanied by a signed pair of photo-matched gloves worn during the 2013-14 season. First, the stick is a CCM RBZ Stage 2 model with “RNH” factory graphics, with the original white tape to the blade and handle (with “93” handwritten). Heavy game-use is shown with numerous puck marks to the blade and chipping and surface abrasions to the lower shaft. Nugent-Hopkins has signed the heel in black marker. The gloves are CCM models in Oilers colours with “RNH” screened to each, with the pair showing light to moderate use including marks and wear to the palms, with Nugent-Hopkins signing each in silver. Getty Images #186373968, #186373931 (Oct 22, 2013) and #186114612 (Oct 19, 2013) have all been matched to the dark mark to the left of the CCM logo on the left glove, with the thin dark line just visible within the first "C" of "CCM" on the right glove. LOAs from the Oilers will accompany each item.
