Often regarded as the best defenseman to ever play in the National Hockey League, Bobby Orr would win eight straight Norris Trophy’s as the league’s best defenseman between 1968 and 1975 and is best known for “The Goal” to win the 1970 Stanley Cup. Celebrating that moment is this “The Goal” signed puck display. Housed in a clear display case with a background of Orr flying through the air, Bobby has signed a Bruins puck with an elegant gold ink signature that displays without issue. A gold plaque outlining the moment in time is found suspended below the puck with an additional plate displaying “Bobby Orr 1970 Stanley Cup Champion” affixed to the front of the display case. The case remains in good condition with light scratches found on the base. Also included with the lot is a replica of Orr’s Victoriaville stick that has also been signed by Bobby. A Victoriaville Pro model, with “B. Orr” stamped to the upper shaft, with Orr’s familiar single black tape strand over the blade and ribbed white-over-black tape pattern on the handle. The legendary defender has signed the blade at the toe section, with the black marker signature displaying well and the displaying light marks to the edges of the shaft. A COA from Legends of the Game will accompany the signed puck.
