Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Fall 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/20/2022
A rematch of the past season with a different result, the first-place Canadian Division Maple Leafs battled the third-place American Division New York Rangers in the 1933 Stanley Cup final, with the Blueshirts triumphant over the blue and white in four games. HOFer Bill Cook would score history’s first Cup-winning goal in overtime in the fourth game, with this just the second Rangers’ franchise championship. We offer a program for the Cup-clinching Game 4, held at MLG on April 13, 1933, and it remains in stunning high grade condition! Featuring a lacrosse cover with the date stamped along with the 15 cents cover price, the Great Depression treasure sports the line-ups at the center, with just a tiny bit of wear to the upper right corner, along with a tiny mark to the reverse cover. You could search for decades and never find an example of this program in better condition.
