Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction December 2022

A four-time Stanley Cup champion during the 1990s, Larry Murphy spent over two decades in the NHL, with appearances made at four NHL All-Star contests and 1615 games played overall. Presented here is this CCM GrooveLite stick used by the legendary defenseman during his swan song season of 2000-01. An extremely light “Murphy” factory stamp is found on the upper shaft while a handwritten “4-11” on the end, mostly likely referring to the date of the game (A 5-3 win vs the Los Angeles Kings). A factory code stamp is also found on the underside of the shaft near the heel. Murphy’s original black tape job is found over both the blade and knob with the stick exhibiting just light game-use through marks on the lower shaft, heel and blade on both the front and back side. Additionally, Murphy has signed the heel area with a crisp black ink signature that displays without issue.
