Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Fall 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/20/2022
Featuring the world’s oldest professional hockey team at the dawn of the Original Six era, when a young hometown hero soon to be known as the Rocket first made his debut, we offer a small collection of desirable Habs items totaling six, including a few Toe Blake items. First, we have a single 3” x 5” page from an autograph book that has been signed by 11 in pencil, including Blake, Durnan, Lach, Fillion, White (played just 4 NHL games), Benoit, Peters, Bibeault, Lamoureux, Harmon and Dutch Hiller. Next, we have a Dec 9, 1944 “Toe Blake Night” program surviving in high-grade, a 1947 Edmonton Arena exhibition program for the Canadiens vs the NHL All-Stars (Bill Durnan cover, vertical crease), a Sept 17, 1944 Parc Fontaine (Montreal) festival program with Canadiens team photo cover, a 1945-46 Parade Sportive booklet loaded with Montreal Canadiens player photos, and a Toe Blake Chex booklet from 1962. The majority of the items show just light wear.
