Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Fall 2022

Four-time Stanley Cup champions in just five seasons, the Montreal Canadiens began it’s late-1960s dynasty in 1964-65 after defeating Chicago, with additional Cups won in 1966, 1968 and 1969. The Toronto Maple Leafs was the only club to defeat the juggernaut in 1967. Celebrating the first and final Cup wins of the dynasty, we have a youth-sized stick signed by members of the 1965-66 champions, along with a team-signed sheet from the 1968-69 champions. First, the stick is a Gilles Tremblay model CCM Custom Pro with 21 matching black ballpoint signatures including Beliveau, Blake, Richard, Worsley, Cournoyer, Roberts, Harris, Talbot, Price, Ferguson, Harper, Rousseau, Hodge, Duff, Backstrom, JC Tremblay, G Tremblay and a few others, with the signatures all easily legible. The sheet is actually two 5” x 6” Air Canada pages, with one sheet having 20 ballpoint signatures on each side including Beliveau, Irvin, Worsley, Richard, Duff, Savard, Redmond, Hicke, Backstrom, Provost, Lemaire and others, along with the date of “April 4, 1969”, while the second sheet is signed by three including Cournoyer, Larry Hillman and one other.
