Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Fall 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/20/2022
A typical power-forward, using his large frame to patrol the game with aggression and physicality, Zack Kassian was selected 13th overall in 2009, and has dressed for four different NHL clubs throughout his career thus far. Traded from Montreal to Edmonton after never playing a single game for the Habs, Kassian wore this signed helmet with the Oilers during the second half of the 2015-16 season (from December onward), accompanied by signed gloves worn by the tough bruiser the following season, in 2016-17. The helmet is a Bauer model in Oilers colours with team decals over each side along with “44” to the forehead and reverse, with an NHL sticker to the lower right reverse. Worn without a visor, the helmet shows good use with numerous scratches and surface abrasions, with a hologram affixed to the left side and an inventory label to the interior from the Oilers. Kassian has added a large silver paint pen signature across the top. The gloves are Bauer models with “Kassian” embroidered to each, with the pair showing heavy use and wear to the material, with a hole in the right palm. Kassian has signed each in black marker, with an inventory label to the interior from the Oilers. An LOA will accompany, along with a 2016-17 player card signed by Kassian (7” x 11”).
