Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2023
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/27/2023
The Calder Memorial winner in 2017 for his impressive rookie campaign of 69 points in 82 games, Auston Matthews won consecutive Maurice "Rocket" Richard Trophies as the NHL's leading goal scorer in 2021 and 2022, with All-Star Game appearances in every season played thus far (the 2021 All-Star Game was cancelled due to Covid). This stick was used by Matthews during the 2019-20 National Hockey League season. A CCM JetSpeed FT2 model with “Matthews” factory graphics over the shaft, Auston’s original white tape job is found over the blade while a Lizard Skins grip graces the handle/knob, finished at the bottom with white tape that displays a handwritten “34” on the front and a cross on the back in black ink. Blacked out at the lower shaft and heel, the stick exhibits light game-use with light marks/abrasions to the lower shaft as well as puck marks found on the tapped area of the blade. Acquired directly from the team, a Toronto Maple Leafs LOA will accompany the piece.
