Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Fall 2022

Perhaps the man responsible for saving baseball after the 1994 strike when he broke Lou Gehrig’s consecutive games played record in the summer of 1995, Cal Ripken Jr. would spend his entire career in an Orioles uniform and become synonymous with Baltimore baseball. Measuring 35” top to bottom, this Louisville Slugger P72 model bat is exactly like those used by Ripken Jr. in the game that broke Gehrig’s record. Sporting just light handling wear with a few light scuffs throughout and paint loss at the handle, the bat displays extremely well. Ripken Jr. has penned a beautiful silver ink signature to the barrel between the center brand and name stampings that displays with light smudging. A JSA sticker numbered “AC82015” is affixed to the barrel and is accompanied by a matching certificate of authenticity.
