Currently serving as a goaltending scout for the Chicago Blackhawks, Dan Ellis backstopped six different NHL teams throughout his career, and he also holds a number of University of Nebraska-Omaha goaltending franchise records. From his first of three seasons in Nashville, we have a mask worn by Ellis with the Predators in 2007-08 - photo-matched to both the regular season and Stanley Cup playoffs. An Itech model painted by DaveArt and specifically David Gunnarson, stylized lions grace each side, with "39" over the chin section. The back plate sports "Ellis" along with a bible chapter and winged "DF" logo. The strapping is also intact, along with the Bauer plexiglass throat guard. Nice use is shown with some chipping over the bottom edge of the chin section, along with a few visible edge chips. The interior also shows use, with Gunnarson signing near the forehead. For the regular season, Getty Image #78208643 (Nov 29, 2007 vs Ottawa) has been matched to particularities of the mask including the exact placement of the David Gunnarson signature on the right side of the forehead, and for the playoffs, Getty Image #80809999 (April 16, 2008 Stanley Cup conference quarter-finals vs Detroit) has been matched to the distinct chipping pattern along the bottom edge of the chin section.
