This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 12/13/2022
Spanning the length that was the golden era of the National Hockey League, we present this lot containing game pucks including Art Ross Tyer 1942-50 and 1967-68 Montreal Canadiens Converse examples. The earlier piece is an Art Ross Tyer puck dating between 1942 and 1950 features the classic octagonal logo on its face with a Buffalo, NY marking. The puck presents in admirable condition with a fairly clean and clear logo. Both the obverse and reverse are covered with dried wax residue and the edges show wear in the from of chips while the side has a handful of shallow cuts. The 1967-68 Montreal Canadiens Converse example presents with a fairly clean Canadiens logo on the one side with crazing and toning present. Both sides exhibit similar residue that is found on the Art Ross Tyer puck with the Converse crest on the opposite side being significantly darkened because of it but having avoided any crazing. The reverse edge exhibits a small chip at 9 o’clock with light wear to the rest of the edges and side found throughout.
