While the rain outside the building forced the roof to remain closed, the energy inside BC Place in Vancouver made for a memorable 2014 Tim Hortons NHL Heritage Classic with a ruckus crowd of 54,194 on hand to watch the visiting Ottawa Senators play the hometown Vancouver Canucks. Offered here, is this puck used by Zach Kassian to score his 11th goal of the season and 25th of his 91 career markers as of this writing. The goal would be scored at 11:27 of the first period, with the marker giving the Canucks a 2-0 lead. Going unassisted, the goal would be the last Vancouver would get in the contest, as four unanswered goals by Ottawa would propel them to a 4-2 win after 60 minutes. The “Official Game Puck” sports the 2014 NHL Heritage Classic event logo on the front with the NHL shield on the reverse. Exhibiting light-to-moderate game use, marks and abrasions are seen over each side while the logos still display perfectly. Originally sold by MeiGray via NHL Auctions after the game, a MeiGray hologram has been affixed to the reverse side with the puck being housed in holder.
