Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction December 2022

The new FoxTrax puck tracking technology that was celebrated by American hockey viewers and shunned by Canadian hockey fans, was once again on display during the 1997 Stanley Cup Finals between the Detroit Red Wings and Philadelphia Flyers for games broadcast on Fox Sports. Embedded with electronics and sensors, this Official Bettman-endorsed Inglasco 960 model with the 1997 Stanley Cup Finals logo appearing on the front and NHL logo on the back, would show a blue halo during TV broadcasts that would change to a red “comet tail” when shot by a player. Four sensors can be viewed on each side, with another 12 devices mounted around the outer edge of the puck. The puck does show use with light surface scratching to the logos and surface present on both sides, overall it displays beautifully and remains in superb condition.
