Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Fall 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/20/2022
First awarded to longtime player, coach and general manager Jack Adams, the Lester Patrick Award – beginning in 1966 – is annually presented for “outstanding service to hockey in the United States". Players, coaches, referees and executives are eligible to receive the trophy, with the selection done by a committee that includes the National Hockey League commissioner as well as a representative of the New York Rangers and others. Hailing from the 1969 event that honoured Bobby Hull and coach Edward Jeremiah, we have a multi-signed and framed Lester Patrick dinner menu. Displayed framed and fully open at approx 13” x 16” with both the front and reverse viewable, the menu lists the event’s participants, with approx 35 signing the front and reverse in matching blue ballpoint, including honouree Hull, along with deceased HOFers Eddie Shore, Gordie Howe, Toe Blake, Milt Schmidt, Boob Boom Geoffrion, Fred Shero, Bill Chadwick, Sid Abel, Sam Pollock, Lynn Patrick and Bill Gadsby, as well as Floyd Curry, Wren Blair, Toots Shore, Jack Gordon, Murray Murdoch, Bob Nevin and others. The signatures display well, with heavy toning and areas of discolouration to the menu. A JSA LOA will accompany.
Please note; While all of our frames are thoroughly and safely packaged for shipping, due to the size and/or weight, and dependent upon the shipping company, we should mention that damage may occur in transit. Please note that as such, we are not responsible for any damage to frames that occurs during shipping.
