An intriguing group of seven O-Pee-Chee sets dating from 1986-87 to 1993-94 is offered here, still to pique the interest of both collector and investor alike. Chalked full of rookie and star power that was featured in the era, the all-important ’86-87 rookie card of Patrick Roy paces the group in terms of value, with this example of card #53 presenting in the condition range of EX-MT or so while star cards of Gretzky and Lemieux and a RC of Wendel Clark from the same assembly are seen in the vicinity of EX-MT+ while the whole set overall presents in the uniform scope of EX-MT/NM. The other three sets worth noting (1987-88, 1988-89 and 1989-90) are led by first year offerings of names such as Vanbiesbrouck, Robitaille, Oates, Niewwendyk, Brett Hull, Shanahan, Turgeon and Sakic, are all found to be in the condition range of EX-MT/NM expect for Robitaille, who falls down to EX-MT+ due to slight border chipping. Again all displaying the uniform condition range of EX-MT/NM throughout the majority of every ensemble being offered, the star power cards of Yzerman, Gretzky and Lemieux are unfortunate condition exceptions in the ’86-87 and ’88-89 sets, with the 1986-87 Yzerman around VG/EX and the 1988-89 Gretzky and Lemieux’s displaying in the EX scope. The 1990’s sets are assumed complete and appear in the same EX-MT/NM condition or better.
