This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/20/2022
A fan favourite throughout the entirety of his 17-year NHL career, Bob Rouse finally reached the top of the hockey world as a member of the Detroit Red Wings with back-to-back Stanley Cups in 1997 and 1998. Hailing from the second of those Stanley Cup seasons is this road jersey worn by Rouse. With Center Ice and Nike size “54” tags affixed to the collar, the front has been styled with the classic winged-wheel team crest with embroidered detailing. The V-neck sweater has been accented with “3” over the sleeves and verso in single layer white twill, with “Rouse” arching across the upper reverse in letters of the same style. The jersey also sports the VK&SM patch on the right breast for Vladimir Konstantinov and Sergei Mnatsakanov. Game wear includes stick marks, board burns, and multiple team repairs and it should be noted that there is staining to the upper right front of the jersey. Red Wings team tagging is screened to the inside hem denoting the garment as a “1st Set” specimen. A customized shortened fight strap is found on the interior of the jersey as well as pilling at the elbows and in the fight strap area. A Red Wings HockeyTown Authentics COA and a MeiGray Certificate of Registration will accompany the item.
