Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Fall 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/20/2022
Gracing four different NHL franchises with his presence including most famously Winnipeg, Dale Hawerchuk was a veteran of over 1,100 NHL contests and scored over 1,400 points. The Toronto native also won the Calder Memorial for his remarkable rookie campaign of 103 points in 1981-82. This stick was used by Hawerchuk during his time in Buffalo in the early-to-mid-1990s, circa 1993-94. A Sher-Wood PMP 7000 model with "Hawerchuk" and "10" over the upper shaft, the majority of the blade tape has been removed, with the original black tape intact over the shaved handle. Good game-use is shown with heavy wear to the shaft and blade including a chip at the toe, with wear over the taped handle. There is also a hologram affixed to the lower shaft. Hawerchuk has added a black marker signature to the heel that stands out beautifully.
