Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Fall 2022

Defecting from his native Czechoslovakia as a 17-year-old to pursue a professional career in North America, Petr Nedved would go on to play a total 982 NHL games for seven different franchises. Offered here is the “Liberty” third jersey that Nedved wore while playing with the New York Rangers in 2001-02. Made by KOHO and tagged a size “56”, the front of the jersey features the Rangers Statue of Liberty alternate logo with the 9/11 memorial patch sewn to the right breast and matching shield crests over each shoulder. The sleeves and verso of the jersey feature Nedved’s number “93” in triple-twill while the back features “Nedved” affixed across the top in the same style. Game wear includes an unrepaired hole below the crest, a team repair on each sleeve, holes, stick marks and board burns. It should be noted that the jersey does have staining on the collar. The interior hem has MeiGray and team tagging sewn in with both designating the jersey as a “2001-02 Set 1” example. An LOA from the Rangers will accompany along with a COR from MeiGray.
