Earning his third Art Ross Trophy for his league-leading 105 points in 2020-21, a season that also witnessed the superstar top the NHL in assists, Connor McDavid would add additional hardware during his sixth NHL campaign with the Hart Memorial, and would be selected to the NHL First All-Star Team for a fourth time. This photo-matched Edmonton Oilers captain's jersey was worn by McDavid for five games in 2020-21, specifically on Jan 16, 2021 vs Montreal (1 assist), Jan 18, 2021 vs Montreal, Feb 2, 2021 vs Ottawa (2 assists), Feb 27, 2021 vs Toronto and March 1, 2021 vs Toronto. “56” sizing appears across the Adidas collar band, with NHL and Reebok crests over the front and reverse necklines respectively. Styled with the familiar oil drop team crest, the orange V-neck has “97” in ventilated twill sewn to the sleeves and verso, with the captain’s “C” sewn to the left breast and "McDavid" over the nameplate. Exhibiting light wear that includes a stick mark over the front band, there are also a few faint burn marks over the lower left sleeve. There is also a 1" x 1 1/2" swatch of fabric cut away from the lower reverse, and it should be mentioned that it does not show up in images from the games the jersey was worn in, and occurred after the fact. MeiGray did confirm that when they received the jersey from the team to put it for sale, the swatch of material was already cut on it. Getty Images #1230939562 (February 2, 2021), #1230940458 (February 2, 2021), #1231424630 (February 27, 2021) and #1304947100 (March 1, 2021) have all been matched to the black stick mark going through the upper white and orange stripes below the team crest. The "Set 1" team patch resides on the inside hem along with a MeiGray crest, and according to the company's population report, the jersey is an "Orange Set 1 w/C" specimen. An Oilers LOA will accompany.
