A legend in every way that the term can be expressed, big Jean Beliveau became synonymous with the franchise of Les Canadiens, winning a total of 17 Stanley Cups with the club, 10 as a player and 7 as an executive. Hailing from the late-1950’s is this game-used CCM Professional pattern Jean Beliveau stick from the early stages of his National Hockey League career and likely used at some point on the back half of the Canadiens run of five straight Stanley Cup Championships from 1956-1960. Featuring Jean’s signature tape style of black on the blade and white over black on the bulldog style knob, the upper shaft of this lumber has been stamped with “Beliveau” and the number “4” just below it. Both stampings still display boldly despite their age. The shaft itself features the CCM branding and "Pattern Made" Professional model stamping that displays only light fading and goes nicely with the game wear that is present on the stick throughout, having been riddled with puck marks when used by the Canadiens legend. The blade of the stick is where most of the wear is found with a pair of cracks beneath the blade tape and considerable cracking near the heel of the stick, though no breaks and nothing significant enough to affect the sticks structural integrity. Overall an excellent piece from the longtime Canadiens' captain that would be a significant addition to your growing collection.
