Here's a sensational white mesh Islanders jersey that was worn by Bob Bourne at the peak of the Long Island team's Stanley Cup dynasty. A fast-skating left wing, Bourne averaged a-point-a-game in the postseason during the Islanders run of four straight Stanley Cups with 31 goals and 43 assists in 74 playoff games from 1980-83. This fantastic circa 1981-82 Bourne gamer sports washed out labels with handwritten “14”, with the vintage jersey measuring-out to roughly a size 54, with a screened Sandow logo on the reverse hem. Styled with the classic Long Island team crest, “14” in layered tackle twill is sewn to the sleeves and verso, with “Bourne” across the affixed nameplate in matching material. The jersey also features a loop-style fight strap. Light game-use is shown with a few marks visible, including to the lower right sleeve and reverse, with a few faint burn marks to the reverse band. A signed LOA from Bob Bourne will accompany (the LOA mentions incorrectly that the jersey is photo-matched).
