Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2022

Sporting a career ERA of under three and a win-loss record of 268-152, Jim Palmer is one of the finest pitchers to have ever taken the mound in a Major League stadium, a sentiment shared by his peers when he was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1990 during his first year of eligibility. Dropping in as card #126 of the 1966 Topps set is this rookie card of 3-time World Series Champion, Jim Palmer. Having been slabbed by the grading experts at PSA, they have deemed the card worthy of a NM 7 grade. Presenting with stunning colour, the card if off-centre a little bit left-to-right but carries strong corners and edges. The reverse of the card remains incredibly crisp, despite that, the grade of the card would likely have been better if not for a small stain found on the stat line section of this Topps beauty. Housed in a familiar PSA holder that displays with only the occasional light scratch found, this Palmer rookie is sure to be an excellent addition to any future collection.
