One of the most famous and talented pitchers to emerge from the Negro Leagues, Satchel Paige played for a number of noteworthy black clubs including the Kansas City Monarchs before making his MLB debut with Cleveland in his early-40s. The oldest major league player in history, Paige was a two-time All-Star, with induction to the HOF occurring in 1971. This postcard signed by the legendary hurler has been encapsulated and graded “Authentic Auto” by PSA/DNA. At approx the standard 3 ½” x 5 ½”, the blank postcard with clean postal reverse has been signed in blue ballpoint, with the signature displaying well, with a small stain directly above. The reverse also sports a few small stains along with a pencil notation. Paige passed away in 1982 at 75 years-of-age.
