The tallest man to ever tend the twine of a National Hockey League goal, Ben Bishop enjoyed a career that spanned a total of 413 NHL games over 13 seasons with St. Louis, Ottawa, Tampa Bay, Los Angeles, and Dallas. Presented here and worn in the latter part of the 2011-12 season is Bishop’s Ottawa Senators heritage third jersey. Made by Reebok and ringing in at a size “58+” goalie style according to the flag tagging of the interior collar, the jersey features the NHL shield and Reebok logos on the front and back necklines respectively. Styled in a way that resembles the jerseys of the original iteration of the Senators, the front features the classic capital “O” in the middle of the chest in tackle twill with the event patch for the 2012 NHL All-Star Game that was hosted in Ottawa over the right breast. The sleeves and verso of the jersey feature Bishop’s number “30” in dual layer stacked tackle twill with his last name scrawled across a matching nameplate on the back while the shoulders feature the Sens wordmark in both French and English contained within shields that resemble their old championship logos that were also in the same shape. Game wear on the jersey is quite light to be expected given the limited number of games it was worn in with only a couple of puck marks present. The jersey has been photo-matched with Getty Images #141679462 to the puck mark on the left side of the front crest. The interior of the jersey features a team tagging patch that is serial numbered “A-0208” and all is accompanied by a matching certificate of authenticity from the hockey club.
