Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Fall 2022

The legendary Montreal Canadiens and goalies in our title indeed headline this stack of 1951-52 Parkhurst cards, with Doug Harvey’s key rookie card, along with two examples of Elmer Lach’s #1 card exhibiting a side-to-side crease that contributes to render each G at best. A little corner crease sends #75-Turk Broda to VG but we count 18 others that are crease-free and mostly in the VG+ to VG-EX+ range, with a few of them a tad better (EX) or lower (VG). Some duplication is present, with the lineup led by 19-Henry and 104-Rayner (2) and completed by 18-Lowe, 21-Kyle, 22-Sandford (3), 27-Sullivan, 59-Leswick, 67-Goldham, 81-M. Bentley (blue ink), 89-Eddolls, 91-Buller, 92-Kraftcheck, 95-Ronty (2) and 96-Laprade. At VG is 28-Dumart, with 71-Lewicki and a duplicate 96-Laprade at G. With an obvious crease or more or other flaws and either P or F are 8-Masnick, 26-Quackenbush, 27-Sullivan, 30-Brown, 46-Fogolin, 92-Kraftcheck, 95-Ronty and 105-Conacher. A final six are a mix, but measure markedly shorter or narrower than the rest, suggesting trimming. Multiple options await the new owner of these classic collectibles.
