Celebrating one of the modern game’s best netminders, we have a Montreal Canadiens jersey that was worn by Canadiens defenseman, Mike Komisarek, for the warm-up and ceremony for Patrick Roy’s jersey retirement night on Nov 22nd 2008. CCM size “58” flag tagging sits along the collar with a handwritten “8” found in the outline of the Reebok logo that adorns the back of the neck. The front of the jersey features the sacred logos of both the NHL, found at the neckline, and the famous CH partially embroidered team crest. This retirement night jersey ensemble has been accented with attractive dual-colour tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers of “33”, the number Roy famously wore during his time in Montreal. Additionally, the piece de resistance of the jersey is found over the right breast in the form of the Roy “33” banner patch that had been affixed for the special occasion. The second “3” found on the back of the jersey features a hologram from the Canadiens numbered “GU07827” while the interior hem features team tagging designating the jersey as game-worn with the serial number “A02523”. Both these numbers match up with the items certificate of authenticity that comes directly from the hockey club itself. It should be noted that while listed as game-worn the jersey was only worn for the warm ups and ceremony celebrations and therefore shows very little evidence of use.
