Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 5/31/2022
A season that witnessed the first no-hitter ever pitched outside the United States; with Bill Stoneman earning the second no-no of his career, the Montreal Expos finished in fifth place in the NL East in 1972, and we offer a ball team-signed by the Expos from just the franchise’s fourth season. An Official NL Chub Feeney sphere, 22 have signed – mostly in blue ballpoint, including Jim Fairey, Carl Morton, Larry Doby (coach, signed twice), Hal Breeden, Tim Foli, Steve Renko, Gene Mauch (manager), Coco Laboy, Tim McCarver, Ernie McAnally, Ron Fairly, Boots Day, Bill Stoneman, Clyde Mashore, Mike Torrez, Tom Walker and a few others. The signatures display beautifully, with light toning to the ball. An LOA from Classic Auctions will accompany.
