Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Fall 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/20/2022
The namesake of Canada’s favourite donut shop, Tim Horton’s was founded by the legendary Maple Leafs defenseman in 1964, and partnering with Ron Joyce in 1967, control of the company was assumed by Joyce upon Horton’s untimely death, in 1974. Believed to originate from the settlement with Joyce, where Horton’s widow insisted all of the images of Tim be removed from locations, we have a pair of original framed Horton prints that were once displayed in a Tim Horton’s location. The first appears to be quite older, with a 20” x 28” print of artwork of Horton in his Sabres uniform set in a large and thick 24” x 32” wooden frame that shows heavy wear, along with an approx 17” x 25” “The Horton Children’s Foundation” print entitled “The Legend”, with three attractive and accurate images of the superstar, with text over the base. Matted and framed to 24” x 32”, the frame shows light wear.
Please note; While all of our frames are thoroughly and safely packaged for shipping, due to the size and/or weight, and dependent upon the shipping company, we should mention that damage may occur in transit. Please note that as such, we are not responsible for any damage to frames that occurs during shipping.
