The NBA made its return to Canada on November 3rd, 1995 when the newly formed, Toronto Raptors, tipped off against the New Jersey Nets at the SkyDome in downtown Toronto. Presented here is a framed commemorative opening night display in shadow box style that includes a metal logo medallion, inaugural game ticket, and commemorative issue opening night program that has been signed by NBA Hall of Famer and then Raptor’s vice-president, Isaiah Thomas. Being housed in a sleek black frame and measuring out to a total-dimensions of 19 ½” x 19 ½”, everything remains in great condition and featured on a purple background while being double-matted under black and silver mattes. The program cover, measuring out to approximately 8 ½” x 10” has been signed near the bottom in bold black marker by Isiah Thomas as previously mentioned. The autograph displays well with some weak spots not due to age but due to a failing writing utensil. A bottom of the frame features a silver plaque featuring relevant information to the Raptors Opening Game. The back of the frame features an affixed certificate of authenticity from the Raptors. Also included with the frame is a commemorative inaugural season pin set featuring three pins and being serial numbered “294/2000”. Lastly, as an added bonus, three Eric Lindros signed 1991 Score cards are included. All have been signed in silver ink over images that depict the then budding hockey phenom at various stages of life and hockey career. All are held in screw down holders and present well with no obvious flaws.
