Playing his junior hockey in the Q with Laval, Claude Vilgrain also attended the University of Moncton before making his NHL debut with Vancouver in 1987-88. From his first of two seasons in Newark, we have a New Jersey Devils jersey worn by Vilgrain in 1991-92. The final season of the original jerseys that incorporated the colour green, a Maska label and size “52” fly tag is affixed to the collar, with CCM, NHL and the Devils’ 10th anniversary crests over the reverse hem. Styled with a layered tackle twill team crest, “19” is sewn to the sleeves and verso in matching material. The NHL 75th anniversary crest resides over the right breast. Showing good game-use with puck and stick marks to the front and sleeves, the “Set 2” team patch is situated on the inside hem.
