Finishing third in the Smythe Division on the strength of Wayne Gretzky’s 65 point scored in just 45 games, the Los Angeles Kings would advance to the Stanley Cup finals in 1992-93, with Luc Robitaille topping the club in points throughout the season and Jari Kurri leading in plus/minus. This photo and video-matched Kings jersey was worn by Kurri in the 1993 conference and Stanley Cup finals. A lone size “54” fly tag is affixed to the collar, with NHL and CCM crests over the reverse hem. Styled with the classic Kings’ team crest with embroidered detailing, the vintage V-neck sweater has been accented with “17” in tri-colour tackle twill sewn to the sleeves and verso, with the 1993 Stanley Cup finals patch sewn over the Stanley Cup centennial crest on the right breast. The “Set P” team patch resides on the inside hem, and it has been initialed by team trainer Peter Millar. The dual-clasp fight strap is also intact, and shows signs of multiple washings. Exhibiting burn marks to each lower sleeve and the reverse right shoulder, there are a few small holes/slits to each lower sleeve as well, with a bit of red paint transfer to the reverse CCM logo. There is also light pilling to the interior. Getty Images #857123342 (May 1993 Conference Finals vs Maple Leafs) has been matched to the red paint transfer marks on the first "C" of "CCM" on the hem, and to the placement of the CCM logo (angled) in correlation with the grey stripe above. Additionally, according to the included MeiGray LOA, the jersey is also video-matched to the Tuesday June 1st 1993 Game 1 Kurri goal celebration where you can see the board burn and green paint transfer on the right shoulder (a VHS tape will accompany).
