A former first round pick of Buffalo in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft, Tyler Myers would go on to win the distinguished Calder Memorial Trophy as the league’s best rookie in 2009-10 after putting up 48 points in a full 82 games played. Presented here is the short-lived yellow Sabres jersey worn by Myers during the 2013-14 and 2014-15 seasons. Made by Reebok and tagged as a size 58+ on the interior collar, the bright ensemble showcases the NHL shield and Reebok logos on the front and back necklines respectively. The front displays the familiar Buffalo crest with “Buffalo” spelt out in navy blue just above. The sleeves and verso feature Myers’ number “57” in triple layer, three colour tackle twill with “Myers” spelt out in yellow twill along the affixed nameplate. The interior hem is where team tagging is found and uniquely tells the story of how this particular jersey was used in both the 2013-14 and 2014-15 season as evident by the two team tag patches sewn in. Game wear exhibited is good on the piece with a puck mark being found streaking along the bottom of the front Sabres crest and the left sleeve displaying two unrepaired holes. Overall a strong display piece with excellent eye appeal that’s bound to become a conversation starter after it finds a home in your collection.
