A former sixth round pick of the Sabres in the 2007 National Hockey League entry draft, Paul Byron has defied the odds against late round selections and forged out an NHL career of over 500 NHL games. Presented here is the 40-year anniversary jersey that Byron wore during his short time with the Buffalo Sabres during the 2010-11 season. Tagged a size 54 on the inner collar, the NHL shield and Reebok logos are found on the front and back necklines respectively. Featuring “Buffalo” arching across the chest in individual white felt letters, a 1970 Sabres crest has been placed beneath, with “24” over the sleeves and verso in coarse white felt affixed with cross-pattern stitching. Byron’s name is affixed to an airknit yellow nameplate in single layer blue twill letters. The interior hem of the jersey features Sabres team tagging designating it as an official 2010-11 game jersey. Game wear exhibited on the jersey is very light based on how seldomly it was worn by Byron, with the only wear present being some light, paint like spots on the right arm and front of the jersey. A certificate of authenticity from the Sabres will accompany the item. Overall a great Sabres example that is ready to make its way into your growing collection.
