Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 5/31/2022
Originally drafted by the New York Yankees but never signing with the club, pitcher Todd Stottlemyre made his MLB debut for Toronto in 1988 and won back-to-back World Series titles with the Jays before additional time with the Athletics, Cardinals, Rangers and Diamondbacks. From his fourth MLB season, we have a Jays road uniform worn by the Washington native in 1991. A clean Wilson label with “42” sizing is affixed to the collar with a date/set swatch of “30 91 1”, along with a “DX” tag. Styled with “Toronto” arching across the chest in dual-colour tackle twill with a partially embroidered Blue Jays crest over the left breast, the grey button-up has been accented with “30” sewn to the verso in matching material, with the 1991 All-Star Game crest over the left sleeve. Purchased by our consignor as game-worn directly from the Blue Jays, there appears to be signs of washing, with minor puckering to the interior lining. Otherwise, the jersey remains clean and in beautiful condition.
