Traveling back to Sidney Crosby’s fourth NHL season, the young superstar would score 103 points in 2008-09, along with a career-high 15 playoff goals while leading the Pittsburgh Penguins to a Stanley Cup championship. These photo-matched skates were worn by Crosby from Sept 26, 2008 (preseason) to and including Nov 1, 2008, according to the accompanying Frameworth COA. Reebok 9K Pump models with Reebok E Pro blade holders, stickers with “Sidney Crosby 8 ¾ C/A 08-09 P12740-801” grace each underside boot, with additional notations handwritten to the underside of each blade holder in blue marker. Sporting nice game-use with wear to the leather in areas and marks and cuts to the blade holders, there is a bit of rusting at the end of the blade on the left skate. Getty Image #83546651 (Nov 1, 2008 vs St Louis, Crosby had two assists) has been matched to a number of marks to the blade holders over the outside section of the right skate and inside section of the left skate, with the dark mark within the bottom of the white panel near the lacing grommets on the inside section of the left skate also visible, while Getty Image #83543234 (Oct 30, 2008 vs Phoenix) has been matched to marks on the outside section of the blade holder on the right skate, including the wear marks within the Reebok and "E Pro" logos, with the image also matched to marks on the inside section of the blade holder on the left skate. Additionally, Getty Image #83360606 (Oct 16, 2008 vs Washington, Crosby had two assists) has been matched to wear marks within the "Pro E" logo on the outside section of the blade holder on the left skate, with the image also matched to marks to the inside section of the blade holder on the right skate. A COA from Frameworth will accompany.
