A desirable collection of noteworthy 1972 Canada-Russia Series items including unique specimens, this lot originates from the collection of Karl Hellman, who worked with 'NTL Sports Prod' for Hockey Canada and was involved with the production of the series’ programs. Included, we have Hellman’s “Canada-USSR Series” Nat’l Sports Prod. signed photo id card, with “Staff” stamped and a Hockey Canada logo on the reverse (laminated), Hellman’s March 13, 1973 Press and Radio Television “Single Game” St Louis Blues pass, two Canada-Russia Series programs for the four Canadian games (toning to each), a “working” program that appears to be a prototype for the Canadian programs, with items glued in, with the text all in Latin? (wear and toning, with a small tear to the top of the spine) This is followed by an Official Home TV Program for the series (heavy toning), a Hockey Canada 1972 poster (24” x 36”, with toning and fold lines), and a copy of the hardcover “Twenty-Seven Days in September” with dust jacket, accompanied by a presentation letter for the book addressed to Hellman from Hockey Canada, dated “April 2, 1973”. Lastly, the lot also includes a 1971 Jean Beliveau retirement night folder with booklet and program insert.
