Supplying pucks to the WHA including the highly desirable blue slugs used during the league’s first season in 1972, Biltrite also produced NHL souvenir pucks in the 1970s, and we offer a collection of 30 Biltrite pucks, with 12 1972-74 NHL Reverse pucks along with 18 1972-74 Blank Reverse pucks, with an original Biltrite puck box also included. First, the NHL Reverse pucks have rubberized team logos with NHL shield reverses, and include Minnesota, Detroit, Atlanta, California, Chicago, Pittsburgh, Toronto, Buffalo, Boston, Los Angeles and both New York clubs, while the Blank Reverse pucks include Minnesota, Detroit, Atlanta, California, Chicago, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia (2), Montreal (2), Vancouver, St Louis, Toronto, Buffalo, Boston, Los Angeles and both New York clubs. The majority show just light wear with clean logos, while the Biltrite box shows heavy wear, with tape, handwriting, creases, bends and staining, with a portion of the box detached. A few additional pucks are also included with the lot, with 9 black and orange sponge pucks.
