Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 5/31/2022
Slowly approaching the centennial of the storied franchise, the New York Rangers are one of the oldest teams in the NHL, earning seven Division championships throughout it's tenure along with a quartet of Stanley Cup championships - with the most recent finals appearance occurring in 2014. This lot offer a group of vintage sticks used by past Rangers players totaling 4, with Adam Graves, Esa Tikkanen, Barry Beck and Reijo Ruotsalainen. Bauer (Graves), KOHO (Beck and Tikkanen) and Sher-Wood (Ruotsalainen) models with the respective player's name stamped to each shaft, the group all sport their original paint jobs, with just the blade tape removed from the Graves stick so that the two-time Stanley Cup champion could add a large and flowing black marker signature to the blade along with "1999". We should also note that these exact models may have been used with teams other than the Rangers. All four sticks show good use and remain uncracked. As an added bonus, a fifth stick used by an unknown player is also included (not necessarily with the Rangers).
