A veteran of 1001 National Hockey League games over the course of fifteen seasons in the show, Tomas Plekanec was a fan favourite in Montreal, where he played all but 17 of his NHL games. Presented here is a stick that was used by Plekanec in the mid-2000’s while fortifying his place within the Canadiens lineup with Getty Images #57267383 showing him using this model of stick in his rookie season (March 20th, 2006). A Sher-Wood model SOP 9950, the stick is in good condition overall with no cracks or breaks and still features blue cloth tape on the upper part of the handle with a single with ring at the base and at the top to make up the knob of the stick. Plekanec is stamped on the shaft of the stick and is still completely legible as is the handwritten number “35” on the shaft tape. Early in his career with Montreal, Plekanec wore number “35” up until 2007. Featuring no blade tape present, the game wear exhibited on this piece of lumber is fairly light overall with most present examples being found on the lower shaft and heel in the form of puck marks and paint transfer. Wear to the blade does include a couple puck marks on the front side near the toe as well. Don’t miss out on your chance to add this to your budding collection!
