Played outdoors on the frozen tundra of Heinz Field in Pittsburgh against the Penguins, Alexander Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals spoiled the party, skating to a 3-1 win in the annual New Year’s Day showcase and sending Caps fans home happy. Featured here is this signed Alexander Ovechkin replica jersey that hails from that frigid event. This replica Reebok jersey, tagged at the neck as a size XL and displaying the neck information with the NHL and Reebok logos on the front and back necklines respectively features the classic red, white, and blue design of the Capitals inaugural season jerseys with all elements being fully stitched down including the captain’s “C” found on the jerseys left side. The right shoulder of the jersey features the Winter Classic event patch which has also been stitched on. The sleeves and verso of the jersey feature alternating red and blue stars with Ovi’s number “8” in dual stacked blue and red tackle twill. The back number has been signed by the Russian sniper in silver pen which displays well though appears a little faint in part definitely due to a failing writing utensil. Don’t miss out on your chance to add this incredible piece to your collection.
