Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2022

A fearsome competitor, Leafs fans would see “Cujo” put up 3 consecutive 30+ win seasons in his first three seasons with the blue-and-white on his way to two consecutive All-Star appearances in 1999 and 2000. Hailing from the late-1990’s is this Toronto Maple Leafs Bauer Reactor R6000 stick that was used by Curtis Joseph. The blue baton has “Cujo” stamped on the upper shaft with factory code stamped on the shaft’s underside (090903 01) and the patterns matches up to what the Leafs netminder used during the 1999-00 and 2000-01 seasons. Game wear on this stick would be considered light to moderate with most of it being found on the original white tape job found throughout the stick, most prominently in the form of puck marks. The back of the shaft does show some red paint transfer as well. It should be noted that it appears as if two different styles of white tape were used on the blade as the heel section has not aged in the same way as the rest of the sticks tape job but still feels as though it is old and original. The stick is part of a large collection of sticks featured in this auction with our consignor informing us that he obtained most of them from various NHL All-Star Games over the years with four such examples from the collection having been photo-matched to All-Star Games.
