Paul Henderson’s million-dollar Team Canada jersey is front and center in this iconic scene of the 1972 Canada-Russia Series winning goal celebration, the most celebrated Canadian sports photo ever taken. Henderson and Toronto Star photographer Frank Lennon both signed this magnificent 18” x 22” limited-edition print of Lennon’s shot for the ages. Titled “The Goal of the Century”, it bears a “470/1972” notation over the bottom left of the matte, with the litho encompassed by four Future Trends hockey cards, with the signature of the respective player pictured signing the matte in matching red, including Henderson at top, Tretiak beneath, Cournoyer over the left and Liapkin over the right. A photo, name plate and plaque listing the particulars have all been inserted at the base. With the signatures presenting beautifully, the display has been framed to full dimensions of approx 31” x 43”. An LOA from Classic Auctions will accompany, and it should be mentioned that due to the size and/or weight, special shipping arrangements may be required.
Please note; While all of our frames are thoroughly and safely packaged for shipping, due to the size and/or weight, and dependent upon the shipping company, we should mention that damage may occur in transit.
