Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 5/31/2022
A certified member of the famed Triple Gold Club, Jonathan Toews has a career resume that features three Stanley Cup Championships, a Conn Smythe Trophy, two Olympic gold medals, and of course, World Championship gold. Proudly presented here and hailing from the 2010-11 National Hockey League season is this Bauer TotalOne signed game-used stick from Jonathan Toews. Having been signed on the blade in silver paint pen by Toews, the signature displays beautifully with no flaws whatsoever. Despite the blade being sans tape, most likely removed for the signature to be applied, the knob has been taped in Toews’ familiar style as found on other examples from the same season in simple white tape. With no cracks or breaks, the stick presents with excellent eye appeal. Still present on the stick are the factory warranty and serial number stickers on the backside of the shaft with the frontside featuring the factory graphics of “Toews #19”. Game wear on this example would be described as light but marks and nicks are present on the lower shaft. Additionally, included in the lot is a signed new-with-tags Reebok pro-style Chicago Blackhawks size 54 jersey of Toews that has been signed on the back by the superstar in black marker. The signature displays well with no flaws whatsoever. It should be mentioned that the stick is part of a large collection of sticks featured in this auction with our consignor informing us that he obtained most of them from various NHL All-Star Games over the years with four such examples from the collection having been photo-matched to All-Star Games.
